Gas stations in Rowlett — cheapest prices and which ones to avoid

I track gas prices in Rowlett on GasBuddy religiously because the price swings between stations here can be $0.30+ per gallon. Here's the breakdown.

Consistently cheapest:

1. Murphy USA (Walmart on 66/Lakeview) — Usually 10-15 cents cheaper than anything else in Rowlett. They match Walmart's pricing model: thin margins, high volume. Regular unleaded is typically $2.45-2.55 as of March 2026.

2. Kroger Fuel Center (Lakeview Pkwy) — Base price is average, BUT Kroger fuel points make it a contender. With 4x fuel points events on gift cards, I regularly get $0.40-1.00 off per gallon. If you shop at Kroger anyway, this is the best effective price.
