Karate / TKD / Traditional

I'm 34 and just started TKD. Is it weird being the oldest white belt by 20 years?

I always wanted to do martial arts but never had the money as a kid. Finally signed up at a TKD school in Frisco.

I am the only adult in the beginner class. The rest are kids between 7-12. The instructor is great and doesn't treat me differently but there's something humbling about a 9-year-old throwing a better roundhouse kick than you.

I'm not trying to compete or get a black belt in a year. I just want to learn kicks, get exercise, and do something that isn't a treadmill.

Anyone else start a traditional martial art as an adult? How did it go?
