Looking at karate schools for my daughter in the Richardson/Plano area and I can't tell the legit ones from the belt mills. Some of them promise black belt in 2 years for a 6-year-old which seems... wrong.
What should I look for? What are the red flags? I don't need her to be a UFC fighter — I just want real instruction, discipline, and a school that doesn't hand out belts to keep parents paying.
Any specific recommendations in the area are welcome too.
