Three packages stolen from my porch this month in Las Colinas (Valley Ranch area). Ring camera caught the same guy twice — driving a white sedan, no plates visible.
What I've done:
- Filed reports with Irving PD (they gave case numbers but said it's hard to investigate without plate info)
- Shared Ring footage with neighbors via the Neighbors app
- Set up Amazon Locker delivery for anything over $50
- Got a lockable porch box from Amazon ($80, holds 3-4 packages)
Prevention tips that actually work:
- Amazon Locker or Hub delivery
- Require signature for expensive items
- Ship to your workplace if possible
- Coordinate with neighbors to grab each others packages
- Package lockbox (Bench Sentry, Package Guard, etc.)
- Delivery notifications + action within 30 minutes
