Based on DPD crime maps and what I've been seeing on Nextdoor, these areas seem to have the highest car theft activity right now:
- Northwest Dallas (around Walnut Hill / Stemmons corridor)
- Parts of South Dallas and Fair Park area
- East Plano apartment complexes
- Arlington near the entertainment district
- Certain apartment complexes in Garland/Richardson
Common targets: Kia, Hyundai (still), Dodge Chargers/Challengers, Ford F-150s
Peak times seem to be 2am-5am in residential areas and daytime in mall/apartment parking lots.
