Bus Operator

- Operate a 40-foot transit bus on fixed routes throughout the DART service area - Pick up and drop off passengers safely at designated stops, maintaining schedule adherence - Collect fares, issue transfers, and assist passengers with mobility devices and wheelchair ramps - Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections per DOT requirements - Complete 6 weeks of paid CDL training and route familiarization before your first solo run

- Must be 21+ with a valid Texas driver's license (CDL not required — they train you) - Clean driving record for the past 3 years (no DUI/DWI, no more than 2 moving violations) - Pass DOT physical exam, drug screening, and criminal background check - Ability to work split shifts and weekends — bus schedules don't stop on Saturday - Customer service mindset — you're the face of public transit for hundreds of riders daily
