This is a safe space. We all watch prestige television and pretend we do not also binge trash. Confess.
My guilty pleasures:
-
Love Is Blind (Netflix) — I have watched every season. I cannot explain it. The pod conversations are objectively unhinged and I am glued to the screen. When someone says "I'm falling in love with you" after 3 days in a pod, I am INVESTED.
-
The Floor Is Lava (Netflix) — A game show where adults jump on furniture to avoid fake lava. My IQ drops 30 points when this is on and I am at peace with that.
-
Too Hot to Handle (Netflix) — Attractive people who cannot touch each other on a beach. The premise is stupid. I have seen every episode.
-
Below Deck (Bravo) — Rich people being terrible on yachts. The drama between the crew is unscripted chaos that no writer could fabricate.
-
Squid Game: The Challenge (Netflix) — The real-life version of Squid Game. Watching normal people have emotional breakdowns over a game of Red Light Green Light is oddly compelling.
Why we watch these: Prestige TV requires emotional investment. Sometimes you just want to turn your brain off and watch attractive strangers make terrible decisions. There is no shame in that.
Drop your guilty pleasures below. No judgment. If you say you only watch HBO dramas, you are lying.

Below Deck is the most addictive show on television and nobody talks about it because it is on Bravo. The yacht drama is unmatched. Captain Lee is a legend.
