DFW's gaming community is bigger than you think.

LAN events:

Esports venues:

  • Esports Stadium Arlington (now Esports Stadium) — one of the largest dedicated esports venues in North America. Tournaments, watch parties, open play. Source: esportsstadium.com
  • Nerd Street — competitive gaming centers with DFW events. Source: nerdstreet.com

Gaming cafes/lounges:

  • Press Start Gaming Lounge (Plano) — PC and console gaming. Hourly rates. Source: Google Maps.
  • Game Arena (Richardson) — PC cafe with high-end rigs. Popular for League, Valorant, CS2.
  • Round 1 (Grapevine Mills) — Japanese arcade + bowling. The arcade selection is massive. Source: round1usa.com

Communities:

  • DFW Smash — local Super Smash Bros competitive scene. Weekly tournaments. Source: start.gg (search DFW)
  • DFW FGC — fighting game community. Street Fighter, Tekken, Guilty Gear locals. Active Discord.
  • DFW Tabletop Gaming — board games and RPGs. Meetup.com groups.

Streaming/content creation:

QuakeCon at the Gaylord Texan is a bucket list event for PC gamers. Thousands of people with their entire rigs set up in one room. The energy is insane.

DFW Smash community is active and welcoming. Weekly locals at various venues. If you play Smash competitively, there's a scene here.

Esports Stadium in Arlington hosting major tournaments puts DFW on the esports map. We've had Rocket League, Halo, and fighting game majors there.
