Hotels in Surprise versus Scottsdale -- we stayed for $120/night and drove to Old Town for dinner. Best of both worlds.

Combining multiple spring training games makes the trip incredible. Surprise Saturday, Scottsdale Sunday, Tempe Monday.

The autograph tip is legit. My kids got signatures from 5 players last March. Players are relaxed and willing in spring training.

Spring training in Surprise is the best baseball experience available. Small stadium, perfect weather, $15 lawn seats, and you are 50 feet from MLB players.
