Crayola Experience in Plano is a sleeper hit. My 5-year-old could spend 4 hours there easily. Named crayons and the factory show are the highlights.

Fort Worth Zoo is genuinely the best zoo in Texas and arguably the country. The new expansion areas are incredible.

Libraries in DFW are massively underrated for kids. Free story time, STEM programs, summer reading — all free.
