Two men going door to door in our Frisco neighborhood (near Stonebriar area) claiming to represent a security company doing "free home security audits."
Concerning behavior:
- They don't have a Frisco solicitor's permit (required by city ordinance)
- When asked for credentials, they got evasive
- They were taking photos of houses including garage doors and side gates
- They specifically asked "is anyone home during the day?"
- Driving an unmarked white van with no company branding
What I did:
- Told them to leave my property
- Called Frisco PD non-emergency (972-292-6010) to report
- Shared photos from my doorbell camera on our HOA Facebook group
- Alerted immediate neighbors
Frisco PD said:
- This is a known burglary reconnaissance tactic
- Legitimate companies have city permits and branded vehicles
- NEVER let strangers "audit" your home security
- Report any solicitors without permits

Same two guys came to our street near Lebanon and Eldorado last week. I refused to open the door and they moved on quickly.
