Legacy Fighting Alliance and Fury FC — supporting local MMA promotions in DFW

if you only watch UFC youre missing some incredible MMA right in our backyard.

DFW has a legit local MMA scene and these promotions need our support:

Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA)

  • based in the DFW area and regularly runs shows in dallas, fort worth, and surrounding cities
  • this is the #1 feeder promotion to the UFC. more fighters have gone from LFA to UFC than any other regional promotion
  • production quality is solid. they broadcast on UFC Fight Pass
  • ticket prices are reasonable ($30-80) and you are RIGHT THERE at cageside
  • if you want to see the next UFC champion before they blow up, LFA is where you find them

Fury FC

  • Texas-based promotion that runs shows across the state including DFW
  • more amateur and early-pro focused than LFA
  • great place to see local DFW fighters in their early careers
  • the atmosphere at these events is incredible. small venue, loud crowd, real passion

why you should go:

  • the fighters are hungrier. they are fighting for contracts and futures, not paychecks. the energy is different
  • you can literally sit 10 feet from the cage. the sound of a punch landing in person is something TV cant replicate
  • ticket prices are 1/10th of a UFC event
  • you get to say "i saw that fighter before they were famous" when they make it to the UFC

upcoming events: check LFA and Fury FC social media for the next DFW shows. they usually announce 4-6 weeks out.

the best way to grow combat sports in DFW is to support the local scene. anyone been to a recent show?

the production quality of LFA on Fight Pass is surprisingly good. if you cant make it in person the broadcast is worth watching

went to an LFA show at the Bomb Factory (now the Factory in Deep Ellum) last year and it was one of the best live sporting events ive ever been to. cageside seats for $60. the energy was insane

DFW MMA fans need to do a better job supporting local events. these promotions run on ticket sales and the fighters deserve packed houses. $40 for a night of live fights is the best deal in DFW entertainment

LFA to UFC pipeline is real. ive seen at least 5 fighters live at LFA events who are now in the UFC. knowing you watched them before the big stage is a cool feeling

Fury FC shows are raw and i mean that in the best way. small gym venue, folding chairs, the fighters warmup 20 feet from the crowd. you feel like youre part of the event not just watching it
