Whataburger vs In-N-Out in DFW: This is our generational conflict

In-N-Out finally came to DFW and the battle lines have been drawn.

Team Whataburger:

  • Open 24/7. In-N-Out closes at 1 AM like cowards.
  • Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit. In-N-Out doesn't even serve breakfast.
  • Spicy ketchup. Enough said.
  • Has been here since forever. Loyalty matters.

Team In-N-Out:

  • Animal style fries exist and Whataburger has no equivalent.
  • The burger quality is objectively higher per dollar.
  • They pay their employees $20+/hour and it shows in the service.
  • The line is always insane because people will wait 45 minutes and that tells you something.

The truth nobody wants to hear: They're not even competing. Whataburger is a 2 AM drive-through experience. In-N-Out is a noon lunch. Different vibes entirely.

But if you put a gun to my head at 2:37 AM: Whataburger. Every time.

This is the most important debate in DFW. Choose wisely.

Anyone else deal with this?

Whataburger at 2 AM after a night in Deep Ellum is a SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE that In-N-Out will never understand because they are ASLEEP.

I waited 55 minutes at the In-N-Out on Greenville Ave and would do it again. My Whataburger friends don't talk to me anymore.

In-N-Out burger quality is better. I said it. Now excuse me while I eat my Whataburger Patty Melt because I have a complicated relationship with loyalty.

The real answer is Braum's and I will not be elaborating.

Spicy ketchup is the real MVP of this debate. In-N-Out has nothing that competes with spicy ketchup.
