Shoutout to the auto shop on Mockingbird that didn't try to scam me

My check engine light came on and I was dreading the mechanic visit. Every time I go to one of the chain places they find $2,000 worth of "urgent" repairs.

Went to a small shop on Mockingbird near Greenville. Guy looked at it, ran the code, told me it was an oxygen sensor, and quoted me $180 parts and labor. Then he said "honestly if you can wait, this isn't urgent. Your car is fine to drive for a while."

A mechanic who told me NOT to spend money. I almost cried. Went back the next week and had him do it.

We need to support shops like this. The honest ones deserve our business.
