I see people on here saying they can't find work and I'm confused. Drive down any highway in DFW and count the cranes. Construction is booming.
Laborer positions start $15-18/hr with zero experience. Get into an apprenticeship and within 2 years you're making $25-30/hr as an electrician, plumber, or welder.
The work is physical and the hours are early (most sites start at 6am) but the money is there. And there's no student debt attached to it.
Not for everyone but if you need work and you're not afraid of hard labor, it's right there.
