What does DFW do better than anywhere else?

We talk a lot about what DFW lacks (mountains, beaches, public transit). What does DFW genuinely do BETTER than other major metros?

I'll start:

  1. Tex-Mex. Not even close. The baseline Tex-Mex at a random DFW restaurant is better than the best "Mexican" food in most US cities.

  2. Bang for your buck on housing. For a top-10 metro, the space you get per dollar is insane compared to NYC, LA, Chicago, or Austin.

  3. Job market diversity. DFW isn't dependent on one industry. Finance, tech, healthcare, energy, defense, logistics — if one sector dips, others hold.

  4. Airport connectivity. DFW Airport is a top-5 hub globally. Direct flights to everywhere. Love Field adds Southwest options.

  5. High school football. This is both a cultural achievement and slightly terrifying in scale. Allen ISD's $60 million stadium seats 18,000 people. For high school games.

  6. Cultural institutions per capita. The Fort Worth Cultural District, Dallas Arts District, and individual museums (Kimbell, DMA, Nasher, Perot) rival any city.

  7. Suburb quality. DFW suburbs are genuinely nice. Good schools, parks, dining. Not soulless bedroom communities (mostly).

What would you add?
