- Pho Pasteur (Garland) — Old-school. The broth has been simmering since before most of us were born.
Banh mi:
- Hong Kong Market food court (9780 Walnut St) — $5.50 banh mi. Fresh baguette, generous fillings.
- Quoc Bao Bakery (Garland) — Dedicated banh mi shop. The special combo is perfect. $6.
- Nammi (food truck/Downtown) — Fusion banh mi. Different but good.
Bun bo Hue:
- Pho Que Huong (Garland) — Spicy beef noodle soup. The bun bo Hue is rich, complex, and deeply warming. $13.
Broken rice (com tam):
- Com Tam Thuan Kieu (Garland) — Broken rice with grilled pork, egg, and fish sauce. $11. Home-style perfection.
Che (desserts):
- Bambu (Richardson) — Che ba mau (three-color dessert) and boba. $5-7.
