You don't need a gym membership to stay fit in DFW. Here are the best free outdoor spots.

Outdoor fitness equipment (free):

  • Flag Pole Hill (White Rock Lake) — pull-up bars, dip bars, open grass for calisthenics. Free.
  • Reverchon Park (Uptown) — exercise stations along the path. Free.
  • Trinity Park (Fort Worth) — exercise stations, open space. Near the zoo. Free.
  • Arbor Hills (Plano) — stairs, hills, trails. Nature's stair master. Free.

Stairs:

  • Norbuck Park stairs (near White Rock Lake) — concrete stairs, popular for stair workouts.
