- Monthly 5Ks through various DFW organizations
Obstacle course races:

CrossFit competitions:
- Multiple DFW throwdowns throughout the year. Check social media for local boxes hosting competitions.
- Granite Games qualifiers
Swimming:
- White Rock Swimmer — open water swim events at White Rock Lake.
Triathlon:
- Ironman 70.3 Texas — typically held in Galveston but DFW triathletes train for it.
- HITS Triathlon Series — events within driving distance of DFW.
- Jack's Generic Tri (Dallas) — sprint triathlon. Beginner-friendly. Source: jacksgeneric.com
Challenges (year-round):
- 75 Hard — not DFW-specific but huge in DFW fitness communities. 75-day mental toughness challenge.
- Katy Trail 100 — personal challenge to run the Katy Trail 100 times in a year. Community-driven.
- DFW Stair Climb Challenge — informal challenge among DFW fitness groups.
