F1 races happen early morning US time, which makes watching them a specific kind of commitment. Here is the DFW guide.
Where to watch:
- Barca's (Knox-Henderson, Dallas) — Opens at 6:30 AM for European races. This is THE spot for F1 and Premier League in DFW. They serve breakfast and the crowd actually knows the sport.
- Henderson Tap House (Knox-Henderson) — Another early-opener for European sports. Good beer selection.
- The Irishman (Las Colinas) — Opens early on race weekends. Proper pub atmosphere.
At home:
- ESPN carries all races live in the US. If you have cable or a streaming package that includes ESPN, you are covered.
- F1 TV Pro ($10/month or $80/year) — Every session live, onboard cameras, timing data, and the full race archive going back decades. The best option for serious fans.
Race schedule basics (2026 season, US times):
- European races: 7-9 AM CT start times
- Middle East races: 9-11 AM CT
- Asian races: 12-2 AM CT (brutal)
- Americas races (Austin, Miami, Vegas, Mexico, Brazil): 1-3 PM CT
DFW F1 community:
- The DFW F1 Fans group on Facebook is active. They organize watch parties for big races.
- Circuit of the Americas in Austin is a 3-hour drive. The US Grand Prix in October is a pilgrimage every F1 fan in Texas should make at least once.
