Khan Academy + consistency beats expensive tutoring for most kids. Free SAT prep is as good as $1,000 Kaplan courses if your kid actually uses it.

Mathnasium took my son from C's to A's in math in one semester. The diagnostic assessment pinpoints exactly where the gaps are.

College student tutors from UTD are the best value. My daughter's UTD tutor charges $25/hr for AP Physics and actually makes it understandable.
