Jerry Jones and the stadium saga: Breaking down every new stadium rumor

AT&T Stadium is 17 years old now and Jerry is already making noise about a new one. The man is 83 years old and wants to build ANOTHER billion dollar stadium before he dies.

The current stadium still looks incredible honestly. The screens, the retractable roof, the whole experience is top tier. But Jerry sees what the Bills and Chargers are getting and he wants to one-up everyone again.

The real question is who pays for it. Arlington taxpayers got hosed on the current deal and there's no way the city goes for round two. Dallas would be wild but the land costs alone would be insane.

I think it happens but not until after Jerry is gone. Stephen Jones doesn't have the same ego-driven urgency to build monuments.

What do you think — does DFW need a new stadium or is AT&T Stadium fine for another 15 years?

Build it in Fair Park. Revitalize that entire area. The DART access is already there. It would transform South Dallas.

AT&T Stadium still holds up honestly. The video board is iconic. But the concourse flow is terrible compared to newer stadiums. SoFi makes it feel dated.

If public money is involved I will be at every city council meeting. Arlington already gave Jerry $325M and the economic impact studies were wildly optimistic. Source: Brookings Institution stadium financing study.

Keep it in Arlington. The infrastructure exists. The hotels exist. The entertainment district exists. Starting over in a new city makes zero sense.

Whatever happens, the tailgating culture at the current stadium is irreplaceable. Those parking lots on a Sunday morning are sacred ground.
