A chain-reaction pileup on I-30 westbound just past the Haskell exit has traffic at a complete standstill. Initial reports say 8+ vehicles are involved.
Current status:
- All westbound lanes blocked
- DFR has multiple ambulances on scene
- At least 4 people being treated, 2 transported to Parkland
- TxDOT estimates 2+ hours to clear
Cause: Unconfirmed, but witnesses report a vehicle that stopped suddenly in the left lane during heavy traffic.
Detours:
- Exit before Haskell and take Commerce/Main through downtown
- I-35E south to I-30 reconnect at the mixmaster
- Expect ALL surface streets in the area to be congested
