What You'll Do
- Diagnose and repair Class 6-8 commercial trucks (Peterbilt, International, Hino) at the Grand Prairie service center
- Perform preventive maintenance, brake jobs, engine diagnostics, and electrical troubleshooting
- Use manufacturer diagnostic software (ServiceMaxx, DAVIE, Allison DOC) to pull fault codes
- Conduct DOT inspections and ensure vehicles meet federal safety standards
- Work on 3-5 trucks per day depending on repair complexity
What You Need
- 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience (dealership or fleet shop)
- CDL Class B license (or willingness to obtain — they'll sponsor testing)
- ASE certification in diesel engines, brakes, or electrical is a strong plus
- Own basic hand tools (specialty and diagnostic tools provided by the shop)
- Comfortable with heavy lifting and working on your feet in a shop environment
