MFFL. Luka era. Die on this hill.
The shot quality nuance is important. Bad analytics says never shoot mid-range. Good analytics says Luka should shoot mid-range because HIS mid-range is efficient. The difference matters.
The trade exception expiring in August is concerning. Use it or lose it. If the front office lets $8.2M in free cap absorption expire unused, that is a failure of creativity.
Do not disrespect Dirk by making this a competition. Both are franchise legends. Dirk built this franchise from nothing. Luka benefits from the foundation Dirk laid.
Dennis Smith Jr. over Donovan Mitchell haunts me. Mitchell was right there. The worst part is Dallas valued athleticism over skill, which is a scouting failure.
Happiest Hour is great but be warned — the wait for the rooftop can be 45+ minutes on a game night. Get there early or stick to the first floor.
Walking to Katy Trail Ice House after a Mavs win on a warm night is peak Dallas. Cold beer, outdoor seating, good vibes. Cannot beat it.
Luka and Kyrie being defensive liabilities is the core structural issue. You need the other 3 starters to be plus defenders, and ideally your bench defenders need to be solid too. That is a roster construction challenge.
Luka will be number one on this list when he retires. His production at this age is ahead of Dirk\'s pace. The only question is whether he stays in Dallas long enough to build the full resume.
Age is the elephant in the room. Kyrie at 34-35 is going to decline. The Mavs need to have a succession plan for the secondary creator role. Whether that is a trade or a draft pick, it needs to happen soon.
Fort Worth gets no love for basketball but Reservoir is solid. Good TVs, good food, and you do not have to deal with Dallas traffic.
Happiest Hour during the 2024 Finals was absolutely packed. Hundreds of people in the outdoor area watching on the big screens. Better atmosphere than some regular season games at AAC honestly.
The mid-level exception is going to be huge this summer. Finding a player worth $7.5M who can play 25+ meaningful minutes in the playoffs is the front office\'s most important task.
Jason Terry getting the championship trophy tattooed on his arm BEFORE the season started is the most chaotic confident thing any athlete has ever done. And it worked.
The left-handed layup in Game 2 of the Finals is the greatest single shot in Mavs history. Switching hands mid-air against LeBron James while running a fever. Superhuman.
Upper deck corner sections for Mavs games are honestly fine. The sightlines are good and for $30 you cannot beat the value. Save the lower bowl splurge for a playoff game.
Free street parking after 6 PM is the real cheat code. I have been going to games for 5 years and never paid for parking. Walk 3 blocks, save $25.
Game 4 against OKC was the single greatest individual game I have ever watched from a Mav. That stepback three to win it — I was at AAC and the building shook. I am not exaggerating.
A championship is the only thing missing from a Hall of Fame resume. Everything else is already there. He needs help though — you cannot win a title carrying this heavy a load.
The BPM of +10.4 at age 27 is genuinely historic. Only LeBron and Jordan were better at the same age. People do not appreciate what they are watching.
Agreed on the $22 burger. I made that mistake once and I think about it every time I go to a game. That burger personally offended me.
Easy to say trade back until you are sitting there at 14 and the best edge rusher in the class is staring you in the face. Best player available should always win.
The Pro Shop at AT&T Stadium on a non-game day is a different experience. No crowds, the staff actually helps you, and you can browse without getting trampled.
The Dallas Card Show is the move for collectors. I picked up a Troy Aikman rookie card PSA 9 for $180 last quarter. Retail on eBay was $250+ for the same grade.
The new kickoff rules have made kick return more important than it has been in a decade. Dallas needs to invest in a dynamic returner. CeeDee should not be fielding kicks.
Cowboys at two feels right but it also feels like every year we say "if the young players develop" and they never quite do. At some point the ceiling has to become reality.
The time to throw correlation with offensive line injuries is something I have never considered before. It makes perfect sense though. Every extra tenth of a second is more stress on those joints.
