I drove 4 hours to see the Spurs play and Wembanyama sat out with "rest." I paid $250 for two tickets. Nobody told me before I bought them. That is unacceptable.

An oil change place on Harry Hines tried to tell me my transmission fluid was "critical" and needed a $400 flush. I had it changed 6 months prior. They showed me someone else's fluid sample. Walked out.

Arsenal in Adidas will never miss. The red with white sleeves is the most iconic look in English football. It has been perfect since the 1930s.

Sections 18-22 lower level is the sweet spot. Close enough to hear the umpire.

Camp Bow Wow webcams are the best and worst thing. I watch my dog play all day while I'm at work. Productivity destroyed but happiness increased.

Built In DFW is the best job board for DFW tech specifically. The listings are curated and focused on startups and growing companies.

IBEW apprenticeship was the best decision I ever made. Paid training for 5 years, no debt, and I'm making $78K now at 27. My college friends are still paying loans.

Texas State Parks Pass is the best $70 you'll ever spend. Cedar Hill, Dinosaur Valley, Mineral Wells, Palo Duro — all covered.

Pre-scheduling Uber rides before going out is the best nightlife tip. $20 pre-scheduled vs $60 at 2 AM when everyone is requesting at the same time.

Tatsu in Knox-Henderson is insane. Went opening week. The handroll omakase is $55 and it's worth every penny.

Lucia closing was a gut punch. David Uygur was making the best pasta in Texas. Bishop Arts rent is out of control.

BWW on Greenville for a Conor McGregor card is an absolute zoo. Standing room only by 9 PM. Get there at 7 for prelims.

I am a UNT grad in Dallas and I have been saying this for years. 47,000 students and we cannot fill a 30,000-seat stadium. The commuter school culture has to change.

Robson Ranch in Denton is incredible. My parents moved there 3 years ago. The social calendar is busier than mine. Golf, pickle ball, book clubs, you name it.

8% 401K match + pension + 4 weeks PTO from day 1. The total benefits package at USAA is worth $30-40K on top of salary. Do the math.

Got a text about a "$45/hour warehouse position in Irving." Never applied anywhere. Asked for my banking info to "set up direct deposit before the first day." Classic scam.

Barca's at 6:30 AM for a North London derby is an experience everyone should have once. Full house, scarves, chanting. It does not feel like Dallas at that hour.

Highland Park ISD is its own universe. $1.5M median home to get in. But the schools are genuinely some of the best in the country.

Allen Eagle Stadium is a high school stadium that seats 18,000 people with a video board. If you have never been to a Texas high school football game, you cannot fathom the scale.

My employer in Fort Worth was a non-subscriber. Got hurt on a warehouse floor. Attorney took the case on contingency. Settled for $85,000 — far more than workers' comp would have paid.

Welcome! Honest things nobody tells you: 1) Everything is 30 minutes away. Accept it. 2) You need a car. Period. 3) The Tex-Mex alone will make you stay. 4) Make friends early — DFW is big enough to feel lonely if you don't. For your budget and vibe: Deep Ellum, Lower Greenville, or the Knox-Henderson area in Dallas. Fort Worth's Near Southside/Magnolia area is also great. All walkable within the neighborhood, close to music and food.

Watch any Luka Doncic game and tell me he does not get calls that would be no-calls for a bench player. Same drive, same contact, different whistle. It is obvious.

My son's friend died from a counterfeit Percocet in Frisco last year. 17 years old. One pill. This is not an inner-city problem — it's everywhere.

An oil change place on Harry Hines tried to tell me my transmission fluid was "critical" and needed a $400 flush. I had it changed 6 months prior. They showed me someone else's fluid sample. Walked out.

Midnight Yell at A&M is the most unique tradition in all of college football. 30,000 people in Kyle Field at midnight the night before a game practicing yells. It is surreal.

McGuire is the most authentic coach in college football. He is not performing. He genuinely loves Lubbock and Texas Tech. That energy is contagious with recruits.
