Love bombing is the hardest to recognize because it feels GOOD. When someone is showering you with attention and affection, it feels like you finally found the right person. But healthy love builds slowly. Intense instant devotion is almost always a control tactic.

The Monarch rooftop view is incredible but go on a clear night. Dallas skyline on a clear evening from that rooftop is genuinely one of the best urban views in Texas.

Fort Worth Water Gardens as a first date is an absolute cheat code. It is free, it is stunning, and nobody knows about it unless they live in Fort Worth. Every date I have taken there has been impressed.

The DFW distance problem is real. Matched with someone in Denton while living in south Arlington. The first date was a 55-minute drive each way. We lasted 2 dates before the commute killed it.

Not wrong. What frustrates me is that the man who pressured you was ALSO sitting. If he cared so much about the pregnant woman having a seat, he could have given up his own instead of policing someone else.

Not wrong. "You could have asked nicely enough" is what people say when they had no intention of complying regardless of how you asked. You did ask. They did not care. Cops were the only remaining option.

Not wrong. The FTC income disclosure data does not lie. If 87% of participants earn less than $1,200/year BEFORE expenses (products they are required to buy, conference fees, samples), the average participant is literally paying to work. That is not a business. It is a money transfer system.

Not wrong. The manager telling you to be "flexible" while Jen is allowed to skip shifts regularly is management failure. That is the manager's problem to solve, not yours.

Not wrong. $47,000 for a wedding and you cannot even make your own guest list decisions? Your sister's RSVP for 6 when invited for 2 is presumptuous regardless of the kid situation.

12 points

Not wrong. A childfree wedding is a valid choice. You communicated it clearly. You offered to pay for childcare. Your sister is making YOUR wedding about HER preferences.

Not wrong, but now you need to cover yourself legally. Email the principal a summary of every incident, every communication you sent, every inadequate response, and the fact that the bullying ESCALATED after the school meeting. Create a paper trail. If this continues, file a formal grievance with Keller ISD.

Wrong. She is 67 and lonely. Your kids will remember grandma summers forever. You can handle 3 months of mild inconvenience for a lifetime of family memories. Put headphones on. Lock your office door. Compromise.

Not wrong. Three months was decided without your consent. That alone makes you justified. Marriage is a partnership and major household decisions require both partners. Your wife went behind your back.

Not wrong. I am the neighbor who had the boat and got reported in a McKinney neighborhood. I was mad at first but honestly, I was in the wrong. I rented a storage spot for $85/month and the neighborhood looks better. He did me a favor even though I did not see it that way at the time.

Not wrong. I live in Prosper too. The CC&Rs exist because without them, neighborhoods become a free-for-all. Today it is a boat. Tomorrow it is a rusted RV and 4 project cars. Rules matter.

Not wrong, but as someone who served in Deep Ellum for 3 years — the kitchen issues (wrong steak temp, long wait times) are usually not the server's fault. The eye-rolling and attitude absolutely are. I would have done 10% given the attitude alone.

26 points

Not wrong. 15% for terrible service is generous. A margarita and a mojito are NOT the same thing. Rolling her eyes? Saying "same thing basically"? That alone would have dropped my tip. Service is a two-way street.

Not wrong. A husky in a 900 sqft Uptown apartment is borderline animal cruelty anyway. Those dogs need space and daily exercise. This was a bad decision on every level.

12 points

Not wrong. She made a unilateral decision that affects your health, your finances, and your living space without consulting you. The fact that she is upset about the CONSEQUENCES of her decision rather than acknowledging the decision itself tells you everything about her character.

Goldman in Richardson pays surprisingly well. My friend is a senior engineer there making $230K TC. That is Bay Area money with DFW cost of living.

Mesh WiFi first. Cannot stress this enough. I tried building a smart home on a single router in a 2,800 sqft house and nothing worked reliably past the living room.

14 months from zero to employed is realistic. I did it in 11 months but I was studying 4 hours a day after my 9-to-5. It is not easy but it is absolutely doable.

Windsurf free tier is how I learned to code with AI assistance. When you are starting out, the less overwhelming UI matters more than power features.

Defense in Fort Worth is the move if you want stability. Lockheed has been hiring nonstop for F-35 related software. You need a clearance but they will sponsor it.

The photography comparison is actually valid though. When cameras came out, the Academie des Beaux-Arts said photography could never be art. Now it is in every museum. New tools always face this resistance.

The Micro Center in Dallas sells the Elden Ring collector edition guide book for $40. It is 700 pages and functions as both a strategy guide and an art book. Worth owning even if you already beat the game.
