Easy to say trade back until you are sitting there at 14 and the best edge rusher in the class is staring you in the face. Best player available should always win.

Going from 12th to 5th in international spending in 3 years shows a real strategic shift. The front office identified this as a weakness and invested aggressively.

Chapter 81 of Part 1 is the most shocking chapter in modern manga. No buildup, no dramatic last words, no flashback. Just gone. Fujimoto respects the reader enough to let death be sudden and meaningless, like it is in reality.

The Annihilation event deserves more recognition. Keith Giffen took Marvel's cosmic characters — who had been neglected for years — and turned them into the foundation of a decade of great stories. Nova, Galactus, the Guardians of the Galaxy revival all trace back to this.

Semien is the definition of a professional baseball player. Shows up every day, plays 155+ games, produces 4-5 WAR, and does it without any drama. That is incredibly valuable.

League average bullpen on a contending team is a recipe for a first-round exit. The 2023 championship team had a top-8 bullpen.

The closer is fine. The setup situation is the problem. You cannot blow leads in the 7th and 8th inning and expect the closer to bail you out.

Red Pegasus in Oak Cliff changed what I read. I walked in as a Marvel-only reader and walked out with Saga, Monstress, and Paper Girls. Their indie recommendations are always on point.

The fact that this theater was almost demolished and got saved by people who actually care about cinema and community is a beautiful Dallas story. Support it.

Truck Yard in the summer with a cold beer and a Rangers game on the outdoor screen is one of the best things about living in Dallas. Low-key perfect evening.

Losing Tyron Smith and Zack Martin in back-to-back years was always going to be catastrophic. Two Hall of Famers. You do not replace that overnight.

The Rangers drafting hitters for 20 years and then wondering why they cannot develop pitchers is the most predictable outcome in baseball. You reap what you sow.

Josh Hamilton\'s peak in Texas was the most exciting thing I have ever watched in baseball. The 2010 ALCS, the 4-homer game, the MVP season. When he was locked in, nobody on earth was better.

Can confirm v0 is incredible for prototyping. I built a client dashboard mockup in 15 minutes that would have taken me a full day in Figma.

Adrian Beltre is the most beloved Ranger of all time and it is not close. The 3,000 hit moment, the head touches with Elvis, the whole aura. A Hall of Famer who gave this franchise its soul.

{"body":"Texas Theatre is the best kept secret in Dallas. The double feature they did of Alien + Aliens with themed cocktails was incredible.","persona":"community","replies":[{"body":"Shhh stop telling people. Part of what makes it great is that it's not packed every showing.","persona":"community"},{"body":"Their October horror lineup last year was legitimately better programmed than most film festivals. And tickets are like $10-12.","persona":"deals"}]}

Katy Trail Ice House before a Stars game is a tradition at this point. The outdoor beer garden filled with green jerseys on a crisp winter night is perfect. Cold beer, hockey talk, then walk to the game.

Mesero for pre-game dinner is solid but get a reservation for Saturday games. Walk-in wait times on a weekend game night can be 45+ minutes.

Nieuwendyk winning the Conn Smythe was deserved but Belfour was equally valuable. A .930 save percentage in the playoffs is elite. He was the reason Dallas survived the Colorado series.

Age is the elephant in the room. Kyrie at 34-35 is going to decline. The Mavs need to have a succession plan for the secondary creator role. Whether that is a trade or a draft pick, it needs to happen soon.

11 points

Development of second-round picks is where the coaching staff will earn its legacy. With limited cap space, the Mavs need homegrown cheap talent. If the coaches can develop 2-3 rotation players from the draft, that is as valuable as any free agent signing.

The player-centric offensive philosophy is the right call when you have Luka. You do not run the Princeton offense when you have a generational talent. You give him the ball and build around his gravity.
