Jason Terry getting the championship trophy tattooed on his arm BEFORE the season started is the most chaotic confident thing any athlete has ever done. And it worked.

The left-handed layup in Game 2 of the Finals is the greatest single shot in Mavs history. Switching hands mid-air against LeBron James while running a fever. Superhuman.

Stars games are genuinely louder than Mavs games and it is not close. Playoff hockey at AAC is the loudest sporting event in DFW, including Cowboys games at AT&T. I will die on this hill.

That run changed how the national media views this franchise. We went from a punchline to a legitimate contender overnight. The foundation is there.

Game 4 against OKC was the single greatest individual game I have ever watched from a Mav. That stepback three to win it — I was at AAC and the building shook. I am not exaggerating.

Defense is the issue and always has been. You cannot be the best player in the league if you are a minus defender. Jokic figured it out. Luka needs to.

Bring a clear bag with snacks from outside. The clear bag policy allows food from outside as long as it fits. Trail mix and granola bars save you $30 easy.

Section 200 brisket nachos are the single best stadium food item in DFW across all venues. I will argue this with anyone.

The Jimmy Johnson trade chart is outdated. The modern chart from PFF adjusts for the CBA rookie wage scale and the values shift significantly. Under the modern chart, trading back is even more advantageous.

Plato\'s Closet in Garland is actually great for vintage sports gear. Cowboys, Mavs, Rangers — the DFW locations get tons of donations.

Two wins lost to missed field goals is absolutely a fireable offense for a kicker. In a 17-game season, every game matters and you cannot leave points on the field from inside 45 yards.

Eagles at number one is not even debatable. They have the best roster top to bottom in the division and it is not particularly close.

This is a coaching problem as much as a roster problem. If your scheme is literally causing injuries at certain positions, the scheme needs to adapt.

This is why the watch party at The Star in Frisco is so popular. Free admission, free parking, and you bring your own food and drinks. Total cost: $0.

$2,300 a year to watch a team that went 8-9. When you put the actual number on paper it makes you question your life choices.

The area scout to national scout cross-check system is how most NFL teams operate. The Cowboys are not doing anything revolutionary — they are just doing the standard process well.

Will McClay does not get enough credit nationally. His hit rate on first and second round picks is among the best in the league. The Parsons pick in particular was a masterclass — everyone knew Parsons was great but McClay pushed for him over a quarterback.

One-score game regression is the key insight here. 3-5 in close games is unlucky by any statistical model. If the turnover luck normalizes, this team wins 10 games.

The safety pick in round 2 is going to help the corners more than people realize. Having a reliable safety over the top changes how aggressively you can play at the line of scrimmage.

The common thread is Jerry Jones as GM. Every coach has the same ceiling because the personnel decisions come from the top. That is not a coaching problem.

Oxnard is beautiful. We turned the training camp trip into a family vacation. Camp in the morning, beach in the afternoon, dinner in Ventura. Highly recommend.

My wife dragged me to the Netflix series and I ended up watching the entire thing in two days. The dedication those women show is honestly more impressive than most things I see from the actual football team.

The Netflix documentary was incredible. It completely changed how I viewed the cheerleaders. The athletic demands are insane. These are elite dancers and athletes.

Parsons lives for these games. His three-sack performance in Week 14 is the kind of thing that makes him a generational talent. He elevates in big moments.

12 points

That Week 14 game was the best atmosphere I have experienced at AT&T Stadium in years. When Parsons got the third sack the place erupted. You could feel the floor shaking.

The real solution is what the Chiefs do: draft well in the middle rounds and develop cheap talent. The Cowboys have not done that consistently.
