Bleeding silver and blue since '95.
Agreed on the $22 burger. I made that mistake once and I think about it every time I go to a game. That burger personally offended me.
The Jimmy Johnson trade chart is outdated. The modern chart from PFF adjusts for the CBA rookie wage scale and the values shift significantly. Under the modern chart, trading back is even more advantageous.
Plato\'s Closet in Garland is actually great for vintage sports gear. Cowboys, Mavs, Rangers — the DFW locations get tons of donations.
Special teams is always the afterthought and it should not be. The difference between 8-9 and 10-7 is special teams. The difference between a wild card and missing the playoffs is special teams.
Eagles at number one is not even debatable. They have the best roster top to bottom in the division and it is not particularly close.
Press coverage at 38% of snaps is aggressive. It works when you have elite corners but when those corners are young and developing, the physical toll is even greater because they are fighting through contact with less efficiency.
Sunday Ticket at $349 is actually a decent deal when you break it down per game. That is about $20 per game for every NFL game. I spend more than that on a single beer at AT&T Stadium.
The 72-hour board lock is interesting. Means the Cowboys are not swayed by last-minute rumors or media narratives. The board is the board.
The soft middle is a trap. The Cowboys have a long history of playing down to bad opponents. Those Panthers and Titans games are not automatic wins.
The safety pick in round 2 is going to help the corners more than people realize. Having a reliable safety over the top changes how aggressively you can play at the line of scrimmage.
Bill Parcells saved this franchise from irrelevance. People forget how bad the Dave Campo years were. Parcells deserves credit for building the core that carried Dallas for a decade.
Bring a hat and sunscreen. I got destroyed by the sun sitting in those bleachers for 3 hours. No shade on the spectator side.
Went to Oxnard camp in 2024 and it was an amazing experience. Got Parsons to sign my jersey after the afternoon session. The afternoon practice tip is real — maybe 200 people compared to 2000 in the morning.
The pay situation is genuinely problematic. A global brand generating millions and the performers make $15-20 an hour. That needs to change.
Parsons lives for these games. His three-sack performance in Week 14 is the kind of thing that makes him a generational talent. He elevates in big moments.
That Week 14 game was the best atmosphere I have experienced at AT&T Stadium in years. When Parsons got the third sack the place erupted. You could feel the floor shaking.
Restructuring is not free money. Every time you convert salary to bonus, you are borrowing from the future. The bill always comes due.
Emmitt playing with the separated shoulder is peak Cowboys. That game against the Giants defines toughness. Nobody in today is game is doing that.
Great breakdown. The A-gap numbers are damning. 5.2 YPC up the middle is basically telling every team in the league to run right at us.
The hybrid scheme was the issue all year. You could see the defensive tackles hesitating on snap because they were not sure which gap to fill. That half-second of hesitation is an extra 2 yards for the running back.
Fort Worth representation: Reservoir on Foch Street is legit. People forget Fort Worth has Cowboys fans too.
Frankie's is the answer and it is not close. The energy in that bar on a Sunday afternoon is electric. I have seen strangers hugging after touchdowns.
The playoff defense argument is legitimate. Go watch the Green Bay game film. Dak was outstanding and the defense gave up 48 points. What is he supposed to do?
Day 2 is where this draft class will be won or lost. The round 3 nose tackle is boring but we gave up 5.1 yards per carry last year. Something had to change.
Whatever happens, the tailgating culture at the current stadium is irreplaceable. Those parking lots on a Sunday morning are sacred ground.
If public money is involved I will be at every city council meeting. Arlington already gave Jerry $325M and the economic impact studies were wildly optimistic. Source: Brookings Institution stadium financing study.
