These Cypress homeowners have spent thousands dealing with a flooding problem that keeps coming back.
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Residents in a Cypress neighborhood say their front yards turn into lakes every time it rains, and despite repeated visits from Harris County workers, the problem hasn't gotten any better.
Candy and Sean Maloney have lived in the neighborhood since 1991, and they say the flooding has been a constant issue for more than three decades. Their part of the street sits lower than surrounding areas, causing water to collect and leaving their side looking like a lake while neighboring streets stay dry. They believe the root of the problem is a drainage system that just isn't doing its job.
