AT&T Fiber availability in DFW is expanding rapidly. Here's the current status and what's coming.
Currently available (as of 2026):
- Most of Dallas proper (inside 635 loop)
- Plano — extensive coverage
- Richardson — most areas
- Frisco — growing, especially newer developments
- Fort Worth — downtown and surrounding neighborhoods
- Arlington — select areas
- Grapevine/Southlake — expanding
How to check your address:
- AT&T: att.com/internet (enter address)
- Frontier: frontier.com (enter address)
- Google "fiber internet [your address]" to see all options
If fiber isn't available yet:
- Request it from AT&T — they prioritize areas with high demand. att.com/requestfiber
- Check Frontier Fiber — covers some areas AT&T doesn't.
- T-Mobile 5G Home Internet — $50/month, available in most DFW. Source: t-mobile.com/home-internet
- Spectrum cable internet — widely available, 300-1000 Mbps.
New developments:
- Newer DFW subdivisions (2020+) almost always have fiber infrastructure built in.
- If you're buying a home, check internet availability BEFORE closing. Seriously.
Municipal fiber:
- Some DFW cities are exploring municipal broadband but none have launched as of 2026.

Fiber availability should be a factor in every DFW housing decision.
Agree or disagree?
AT&T Fiber once they expanded to my neighborhood in Fort Worth was life-changing. Went from 50 Mbps Spectrum to 1 Gbps fiber. Same price.
