Stars tickets are some of the best values in DFW sports. Here is how to maximize your dollar.
Face value pricing (source: dallasstars.com):
- Upper deck (300 level): $25-55 depending on opponent
- Lower bowl (100 level): $75-175
- Club level (200 level): $100-200
- Glass seats: $200-400
Where to buy:
- Primary market (Ticketmaster/Stars website): Face value. Good for buying in advance when premium opponents are announced (Colorado, Minnesota, etc.).
- Secondary market (StubHub, SeatGeek, Gametime): Often cheaper than face value for regular season games against non-marquee opponents. I have found lower bowl seats for $40 on SeatGeek for Tuesday night games.
- Day-of deals: Check Gametime and SeatGeek 2-3 hours before puck drop. Prices drop as sellers get desperate. Best for spontaneous game nights.
Best value games:
- Weekday games (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) against non-rival opponents. Prices are 30-50% lower than weekend games.
- January and February games. Mid-winter is the low point for attendance and prices reflect it.
Most expensive games:
- Colorado Avalanche (rivalry premium)
- Minnesota Wild (Central Division rival)
- Weekend games in March/April (playoff race energy)
Pro tips:
- Season ticket holders on the Stars STH Facebook groups frequently sell below face value. Join these groups for deals.
- The Stars run flash sales on social media. Follow @DallasStars on Twitter/X for 24-hour deals.
- If you buy upper deck, sections 315-319 (center ice) are the best sightlines in the 300 level.
The math: A family of 4 can attend a weeknight Stars game for approximately $120-160 total (4 upper deck tickets at $25-35 each, parking $15 on street). Compare that to a Cowboys game at $600+ for the same family. The value is incomparable.

The day-of pricing tip on Gametime is real. I got lower bowl seats for $35 each for a Thursday night game against Nashville. Sellers would rather get something than nothing.
