My company just announced 3 days in office starting next month. I specifically took this job because it was advertised as fully remote.
I moved to Denton for cheaper housing because I didn't need to commute. Now I'm looking at a 45-minute drive to the Legacy West office 3 times a week.
Is this happening everywhere? Are companies in DFW actually enforcing RTO or is it one of those things where they say 3 days but nobody really checks?
Debating whether to push back, comply, or just start job hunting.
Happened to me last year. Pushed back, got told "it's not optional." Started interviewing and had a fully remote offer in 3 weeks. Leverage is still with workers in tech.
