Sales Specialist — Outdoor

- Help customers find the right gear for hiking, camping, cycling, and outdoor adventures - Fit customers for hiking boots, backpacks, and bikes with REI's hands-on fitting process - Share your personal outdoor experience to give authentic recommendations - Process sales, returns, and co-op membership signups - Maintain department merchandising and participate in store events (gear demos, workshops)

- Genuine passion for outdoor recreation — REI hires people who live this stuff - Knowledge of at least one outdoor category (hiking, camping, cycling, climbing, or paddling) - Retail or customer service experience is helpful but enthusiasm matters more - Ability to work weekends (Saturday is REI's busiest day) - Physical ability to move heavy gear (bikes, kayaks, camping equipment)
