Phlebotomist

- Draw blood from inpatients and outpatients across Medical City Dallas hospital - Process specimens, label tubes, and ensure chain of custody for lab samples - Perform point-of-care testing (glucose, pregnancy, flu/COVID rapid tests) - Manage a draw list of 30-50 patients per shift, prioritizing stat and timed orders - Comfort anxious patients — some people really don't do well with needles

- Phlebotomy certification (CPT, PBT, or equivalent national certification) - 6+ months of venipuncture experience (clinical externship counts) - Comfortable with difficult sticks — oncology and dialysis patients require skill - Ability to work early morning shifts (draws typically start at 4-5 AM) - Basic computer skills for Epic specimen tracking
