What You'll Do
- Tutor middle and high school students in math (algebra, geometry, pre-cal, AP Calculus) and science (biology, chemistry, physics)
- Meet students at libraries, coffee shops, or their homes across DFW, or tutor online via Zoom
- Prepare custom lesson plans and practice problems based on each student's curriculum and weak areas
- Help with SAT/ACT math prep during testing seasons
- Build a client base through word-of-mouth referrals and tutoring platform profiles (Wyzant, Varsity Tutors)
What You Need
- Strong knowledge of math through calculus and at least one science subject
- College degree in STEM field preferred (or currently enrolled in STEM program)
- Patience and ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms
- Background check clearance for working with minors
- Reliable transportation or good internet for virtual sessions
What They Offer
- $30-$50/hr for in-person tutoring ($40-$60/hr for SAT/ACT prep)
