Been dashing full-time for 8 months. Here are my real numbers, not the inflated stuff people post on YouTube:
Average weekly gross: $900-1,100 Gas: ~$120/week Car maintenance: ~$40/week averaged out Insurance (rideshare): $180/month Taxes set aside: 25%
Net after everything: roughly $550-700/week
I work 40-50 hours. Best zones: Uptown, Park Cities, Lakewood, Southlake. Worst: anywhere south of I-30 (long drives, low tips).
Lunch rush (11-1:30) and dinner rush (5:30-8:30) are the only hours worth working. Everything in between is dead.
It's not terrible but it's not the "$2,000 a week" dream that TikTok sells.
These numbers line up with my experience. The YouTube dashers are either lying or cherry-picking their best weeks.
