Got quotes from 3 fence companies for a 60ft cedar fence in my backyard. Cheapest quote: $3,500. Most expensive: $4,800.
Went to Home Depot, bought cedar pickets, 4x4 posts, concrete mix, and hardware. Total materials: $380. Rented a post hole digger for $40.
Took me and a buddy one full Saturday and half of Sunday. The fence is straight (mostly), solid, and looks just as good as the $4,800 quote.
I'm not a handy person at all. I watched 3 YouTube videos and figured it out. If I can do it, you can do it.
Anyone else saved a fortune doing their own home projects?
The trick with fences is the posts. Get those straight and level and the rest is just nailing boards. Nice work.
