What You'll Do
- Build and maintain microservices that power Toyota's connected vehicle platform (telematics, navigation, OTA updates)
- Write production code in Go and TypeScript, deployed on AWS (EKS, Lambda, DynamoDB)
- Collaborate with Toyota's Japan engineering team on vehicle-to-cloud communication protocols
- Participate in on-call rotation for production services (1 week every 6 weeks)
- Contribute to architecture decisions for systems processing millions of vehicle events per day
What You Need
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in Go, Java, or TypeScript — they use all three
- Experience with AWS services, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and API design
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience (they genuinely don't care about the degree if you can code)
